Mrs. Tammie Denise Manley, age 52, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at approximately 9:21 am. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born in Killen, Alabama on January 28, 1964 to the union of Willie and Bernice (Harden) Swan; both parents preceded her in death.
On July 25, 1990 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Reginald A. Manley who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Manley worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Lima Convalescent Home and Lost Creek Care Center as an Activities Director. She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. She was a former member of Tabernacle Missionary Basset Church. She loved to cook and interior decorating. She catered large and small functions.
Besides her loving husband Reginald, she leaves to cherish her precious memory a son; Terrell D. Swan (Monica) of Decatur, AL. A daughter ; Tamara D. Swan-Pleasant (Darius) of San Antonio, TX. 5 grandchildren. 2 Godsons; Devontae Forrest and Emmanuel Luckett, Jr. both of Lima. 2 brothers; Terrance Swan and Twane Swan both of Florence, AL. 2 sisters; Tina Branch (Teariers) and Teresa Petaway (Charles) both of Florence, AL. Her mother-in-law; Alice Gatewood of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a brother; Willie Swan, Jr. and a sister; Tommeka Maijed.
Home going services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Tina Swan Branch, officiating.
Visitation/wake services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.
