Shirley Temple Nance

Mrs. Shirley Temple Nance, age 84 went home to be with the Lord on January 18th, 9:08 pm at her home with family.

She was born on August 20, 1936, in Florence, Alabama to the union of Smith and Bernice (Armstead) Boddie, Jr.  Both parents are deceased.

She was united in holy matrimony to L.W. Thompson, January 19, 1957, who is deceased.  She was united in holy matrimony to Raymond Nance, December 5, 1965, who is deceased.

Mrs. Nance was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Rev. Austin Lewis. She worked at Good Year, St Mary's, OH for many years before retiring. She was also the owner of L. W's Diner in Lima, Oh and was devoted to her family.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory, 1 daughter: Marilyn (Bobby) Thomas, of Indianapolis, IN, 2 sons: Lawrence W. Thompson Jr., of Lima, OH and Dale Lee Nance, of Dayton, OH, 1 stepson: Janssen (Nancy) Nance of Newark, OH.  8 grandchildren, Lisa Thompson, Bobby C. Thomas, Martel Thompson, Remey (Raydiance) Thompson, Lawrence Thompson, Jr., Brittney Glenn, Dyesha (Corey) Alexander, and Jamie (James) Dextram.

14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 2 special daughters: Alice (Allen) Coleman, Daisy Jones, 4 special nieces Mary, Bernice, Jocelyn and Patrice and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends. Special neighbors Minnie, Wilabert, and Keyshi. Special friend; Sallie Martin.

She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Della Ruth Thompson, 2 stepsons: Jerry Nance and Don Walker. 4 brothers: John Isaac Boddie, Smith Morris Boddie Jr., Starling Clifford Boddie, and John Truman Boddie, 2 sisters: Annie (AD) Butler and Madgie Edwards.

 Home going services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev.  Austin Lewis, Jr., officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 10:00 a.m.  until time of services at 12:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
