Naomi Yvette"Tankey" White

Ms. Naomi Yvette “Tankey” White, age 58, passed from this life on Friday, April 23, 2021 at approximately 10:12 a.m.  at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born on February 7, 1963 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Johnnie and Lillie Mae (Owens) White, Sr.; both parents preceded her in death.

Tankey as she was affectionately called was a Homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church.  She loved singing, dancing and making people laugh. She also loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and talked to them every day.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son; Terry L. McClellan, Jr. of Lima.  2 daughters; Lasheta D. McClellan (Frederick) of Delaware, OH and DaShanna N. McClellan of Columbus, OH.   7 grandchildren; Kiarah, Sariah, Jasiah, Avah, Elijah, Jamariah and Aquasha.  1 great grandchild; A’Mariona.  1 brother; Darrell S. White of Lima.  5 sisters; Terri L. White, Stephanie L. Huggins, Cynthia R. White, Aleisa M. White and Felita D. Jones (Dava) all of Lima. A special friend; Penny Clayborn of Maryland.  A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her life partner; Terry McClellan, Sr.  A brother; Johnnie White, Jr. and 3 sisters; Sherri L. White, Elmer Jean Myers and Gwendolyn Hales-Woodson.

Home Going Services will be held, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Bolling, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on, Monday, May 3, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The family will be present from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment – Woodlawn  Cemetery
