Mrs. Mary Denson

Mrs. Mary Denson, age 85, passed from this life on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at approximately 5:16 p.m. at her residence in Lima, Ohio.

She was born May 13, 1937 in Selma, Alabama to Lum and Arlena (Cary) Williams; both parents preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Willie D. Denson, Sr., he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Denson was a self-employed Cook.  She was a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir, mother’s board, treasurer, kitchen committee and hospitability committee.

She leaves behind to cherish her precious memory 2 daughters; Yolanda Gibbs (Garrick Warthem) of Lima and Brenda Denise Denton of Atlanta, GA. 2 sons; Willie Denson, Jr. of Lima and Jim Bradley of Atlanta, GA.  29 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.  2 brothers; Jesse Williams (Betty) and Alex Williams both of Lima.  2 sisters; Delores Locke of Lima and Louisa Love of Selma, Alabama.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 3 sons; John Frye, Bobby Denson and Moses Denson.  2 daughters; Alberta Denson and Annie Mae Denson.

Home Going Services will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Church Worldwide Ministries with Elder Paul Johnson, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
