Mrs. Lovie Marrie Hutchins, 70 passed from this life on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 2:31 a.m. at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama.
She was born May 29, 1950, in Florence, Mississippi to Edmond and Grace (White) Lewis Sr.; both parents preceded her in death.
On May 2, 1970 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Wiley E Hutchins, he survives in Lima.
Mrs. Hutchins retired from LG Phillips Display Components. She was a member of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church., where she was a member of the Willing Workers missionary. She was a welcoming person she made you feel at home and everyone was to call her Gummi. She was sweet but one feisty little lady. She was the glue to her family. She loved to talk about her grandkids and traveling.
Besides her loving husband Wiley, she leaves to cherish her precious memory; 2 daughters: Vickie D. (Sylvester) Palin, Jr. of Toledo and Valerie D. Hutchins-Mooney of Gadsden, AL.. A step-son: Aaron Summerhill of Sidney. 5 grandsons: Denzel Mooney, Gadsden, AL, Darnell Mooney, Chicago, IL., Aveon Summerhill, of Lima. Jovan Palin, Sylvester Palin III both of Toledo. 3 granddaughters: Delicia Hutchins (Jamaal) of Dyersburg,TN. LaKenya Hutchins, Toledo, and Latoya Palin of New Jersey. 5 great-grandchildren: Amauri, Mason, Amiyah, JaVannti and Zayli. 6 brothers: Edmond (Celester) Lewis, Jr., Jim (Cynthia) Lewis, Calvin Lewis, James (Clarice) Lewis, Donnell (Teneka) Lewis all of Florence, MS, Sylvester (Shirley) Lewis of Jackson, MS. A special Brother: Lee Hardy Mayes of Lima. 2 sisters; Velma J. Lewis of Lima, Patricia (Bernard) Brown of Florence, MS. An aunt: Ruby Mayes of Florence, MS. 2 brothers-in-law: Thomas (Amida) Hutchins and Howard Hutchins, Jr. both of Lima. Goddaughters: Traci Carter, Toionda Banks, Shanamar Hampton, Taschica Banks, Nykel Simpson and Autumn Martin. Special niece: Patricia (Tony) Cobb, Tina Hutchins, Krystal Brown, Kelli Garner and Ruth (Rick) Yarbrough. Special nephews: Danny (Shamielle). Harmon, Jarius Cobb, Thomas Hutchins Jr., Richie Hutchins, Madaris Hampton. A host of nieces, nephews and other Friends & Family
She was preceded in death by: a son Larry Mooney, mother-in law Ruth Hutchins, and a sister-in-law Emma Taylor.
Services will be held at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. B. LaMont Monford, Sr., officiating.
Visitation/Wake will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 900 a.m. until time of services also at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.
