Matthew F. "New Kid" Williams, Jr.

Matthew “New Kid” Williams, Jr., age 33, went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2020 at approximately 9:57 a.m. at his residence in Lima, Ohio.

He was born on March 7, 1987 in Lima, Ohio to Jean Napier and Matthew Williams, Sr.  both of Lima, Ohio.  He was adopted and raised by his paternal grandparents; Jimmy Rogers  and Magnolia (Mays) Williams; his father Jimmy preceded him in death and his mother, Magnolia  survives in Lima.

Mr. Williams was employed at Wendy’s. He was a member of Greater Christ Temple.

Besides his loving mother Magnolia Williams, he leaves to cherish his precious memory; 6 children; Opie Rashad Williams, Trey Williams, Cardier Williams, Aviana Williams, Jadah Williams and Bella Williams. 6  brothers; Jamar Williams, Jacquan Houston, Josh Blanchard,  Ernest Williams (Lisa), Austin Wade,  Jeffrey Williams all of Lima.   8 sisters; Mable White (Eddie), Pamela Shack (Cleveland), Cynthia Williams, Jeanette Williams, Jasmine Williams, Jaqualia Williams and Whitney  Blanchard all of Lima. Shanta Lowe of Toledo, OH.  A host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister; Kelli Meeks.

Services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 12:00 at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Bishop Michael Cooper, Sr., officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services, also at the Funeral Home.

Interment - Memorial Park Cemetery
