Reflection of Life
Lee Edward Wilson, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2023 peacefully in his home with his loved ones.
He was born on September 13,1946 in Buffalo, New York to the union of Lee Clarence Wilson and Jessie Elizabeth Wilson; both parents preceded him in death. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized and an altar boy at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. He attended Shiloh Baptist Church.
Lee graduated from Bishop Turner High School where he made the Baseball All-Catholic Team. He attended Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, New York where he received two associate degrees. Once Lee graduated, he was relocated to Lima, Ohio where he became a computer programmer at Citizen Loan. Then eventually became employed at General Dynamics. Years later, Lee went on to work at JB Hunt as an outstanding professional truck driver. There he was awarded the One Million and Two Million Mile Safety Awards. Lee retired from JB Hunt after 20 years of service. Lee was very hilarious, fun, intelligent and adventurous. He was an avid bowler and a member of Mulligans Golf Association. He enjoyed walking and participating in 5k marathons.
His memories will be cherished by his beautiful loving wife of 42 years, Dianthia “Ann” Smith Wilson, son Brian T. Wilson and a grandson he raised, Cartier T. Wilson, both of Lima, Ohio; two daughters: Shalonda Owens, Sharron ( Lamar) Thomas of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers: Earl, Gary (Geneder), William of Buffalo, NY and ten grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Aaron Owens.
Home Going Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Cleven Jones Officiating.
Visitation/Wake Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. also at the church.
Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery
