James Joseph Brown. Sr.

Mr. James Joseph Brown, Sr., age  68, passed from this life on Friday, October 22, 2021 at approximately 6:20 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on February 18, 1953 to John Burton and  Alma Brown; both parents preceded him in death.

On January 11, 1985 he was united in holy matrimony to Roxanne Denise Owens; she survives in Lima.

Mr. Brown retired from Proctor and Gamble as a Supervisor.  He was a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where he accepted Christ under Pastor C. M. Manley. He belonged to the Sportscasters Billiard League.

Besides his loving wife Roxanne, he leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons; James J. Brown, Jr. and Dorian J. Brown both of Lima.  A daughter; Jasmine Brown of Columbus, OH.  2 grandchildren.  A sister; Annie Mae Burton .   A host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Jaquala Brown.   Maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.  Six  brothers and sisters.

Home going services will be held on Thursday, October 28, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Arnold Manley, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.
