Mr. Ezill Brown, age 65, passed from this life on Friday, March 5, 2021 at approximately 11:30 p.m. at Lost Creek Center in Lima.
He was born on November 11, 1955 in Durant, Mississippi to the union of John and Lucille (Thurmond) Brown, Jr.; both parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Brown worked for the State of Ohio and previous worked at Pepsi Cola and Vistron. He was a 1974 graduate of Perry High School. He accepted Jesus as his personal Savior and was a member of Lima Christian Cathedral.
Ezill loved a variety of music, especially the Blues. He also enjoyed sitting on his porch talking with his buddy “Donna”. He loved everyone and had a “special” connection with Alex “Mr. Charlie”, nieces, Felicia, Tisha, Cill, Pebbles and Punkin. Nephews; Latel and James and lifelong friend; George Russell and Goddaughter; Dondra.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory a son; Christopher Brown of Columbus, OH. 1 granddaughter; Alexandra Davis and a great granddaughter; Camari Davis. 3 brothers; Allen Rogers (Linda) of Lexington, MS. Charles R. Rogers and John L. Brown (Yvonne) both of Lima. 4 sisters; Pastor Minnie Yowpp (Keith) of Toledo, OH. Rosie Reedy (Pastor Alexander) of Lima. Patricia James (Rev. Manuel) of Durant, MS and Evangelist Marilyn Gordon-Williams of Murfreesboro, TN. A host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Russell Rogers and Curtis Rogers. His grandparents; Kelly & Minnie Lee (Wadlington) Thurmond, John & Elvira Tiggs Brown, Sr., and a 2 nieces; Rosa Shondalette Sims and Linda Lavonne Rogers; and nephew; John (Per Wee) Austin.
Home going services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation/Wake services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery
