Ericka Rochelle Boddie

Ms. Ericka Rochelle Boddie, age 41, passed from this life on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at approximately 4:11 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born in Lima, Ohio on April 7, 1980 to the union of Morris Oneal Boddie and Patricia Ann Manley. Both parents survive in Lima.

Ericka was a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where she was the President of the Usher Board and was also a Sunday School Teacher. She graduated from Lima Central Catholic high school.  She received a Bachelor of Arts from Findlay University and a Master’s degree from University of Dayton and she earned a Certificate in Counseling. Ericka worked as a supervisor at Allen County Children Services.  She volunteered for Hospice and Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a brother; Ricky Manley, Jr. of Lima and a sister; Kijana Carter of Lima.  A special nephew; Jakori Walker of Lima.  Maternal grandparents:  Rev. C. M. Manley and Ann L. Manley both of Lima.  A host aunts and uncles other relatives and friends.  Godchildren; Jaxon Johnson, Jaden McLeod and Sebastian Dukes.  A very special friend; Marques Smith.

She was preceded in death by a sister; Jasmine Carter.  Paternal grandparents; Smith M. and Otis L. (Lovelace) Boddie. 

Home going services will be held at on Monday, February 21, 2022  at 1:00 p.m. at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with  Rev. C. M. Manley, officiating and Rev. Arnold Manley, eulogizing.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at New Morning Star Missionary.

Entombment  -  Woodlawn Mausoleum
