Eliza "Sug" Jackson, 80, made her transition at 5:19 p.m., in the St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo Campus, Indiana. Friday, February 8, 2019.
She entered into this world April 25, 1938, the daughter of Modess and Nellie Hodges Sr. in Belzoni, Mississippi.
She made her contribution to society in the healthcare industry as a Nurses' Aide. She was a member of the Soul Anchor Apostolic Faith Church, Kokomo, Indiana. She enjoyed reading the Gospel. In her leisure time she loved to go fishing and shopping along with spending quality time with her Family. "Sug," as she was affectionately called by family and close friends, will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by 1 son: John Adam Jackson, 1 grandson: David Jackson and 4 sisters: Emma Robinson, Ethel Lee Davis, Jessie Hodges and Queen Esther Jones.
She leaves to mourn her loss but treasuring her memories, 4 daughters: Clemtine Jackson, Kokomo, IN; Gloria J. Arnold (Jaime), Kokomo; Deanna M. Jackson, Lima, OH; Robin A. Conley (James), Kokomo; and Valentina Jackson, Kokomo; 5 sons: Udell Jackson Kokomo; Walter R. Jackson (Gail) Clarksville, TN; Ray L. Jackson, Kokomo, IN; Terry L. Jackson, Kokomo, IN; and Darrell E. Jackson, Lima, OH; 1 sister: Louise Young (Leroy) Lima, OH, and 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Home Going Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Christine Young, officiating.
Visitation/Wake will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. also, at the Funeral Home.
Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery
