Debra Lee Larry

Debra Lee Larry (69) passed from this life on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at approximately 6:03 p.m. p.m. at St. Rita’s/Mercy Health Medical Center in Lima.

She was born on January 7, 1952 in Warren, Ohio to the union of Charles and Anna (Galano) Penrose. Both parents preceded her in death.

On June 22, 1986 she was united in holy matrimony to Ronald Larry, who also precedes her in death.

Debra loved life as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She attended Fredricks Beauty College and later earned an Associate Degree in Health Administration Services from Colorado Technical University. In between her duties, endeavors and working she enjoyed life, travel and spreading her unfettered love for Christ and sharing the Gospel and ministering to anyone she met.

Debra leaves behind to cherish her precious memory 4 sons: Michael and Thomasina Pruitt; Brantley J. Pruitt (fiancée-Danielle); Ronald E. Larry (fiancée- Mercedes); Marquis and Tiffanie Larry; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren all of Lima; 2 brothers – Phil Penrose(Tonya); James Penrose; 1 sister – Shirley McIver; all of Niles, OH; and 1 aunt – Rosie Pierce, of Champion, OH; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends, and family in Christ.

Debra was preceded in death by a son - Anthony M. Larry; grandson - Javon A. Reese Larry; a sister – Yvonne E. Penrose; an uncle – Phil Galano; her mother-in-law Eunice (Canty) Larry; 3 sisters-in-law – Cecelia Larry, Mary E. Fletcher and Ellen Washington; and 2 brothers-in-law – Carl Larry and John McIver.

Home Going Services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Church Worldwide Ministries with Pastor Ronald Fails, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.
