Obituary of Cynthia Machelle Simpson

Ms. Cynthia M. Simpson, age 54, transitioned from this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at her residence in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born in Lima, Ohio on November 9, 1968 to Samuel and Sonya (Ragland) Simpson, Sr.  She is preceded in death by her mother.  Her father survives in Lima, Ohio.

Cynthia was employed at Helping Hands Daycare.  She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved to dance and play bingo.

She leaves to cherish her memory 1 son: Kyundra D. (Sara) Simpson, Sr. of Lima, OH; 2 daughters: Markita R. (Benny) Powell and Ebony V. Bankston, both of Fort Wayne, IN.  4 sisters: Annette (Luis) Ortiz of Huntsville, AL; Guyzella Daniel of Lima, OH; Kinda Collin of TN; and Carmen Daniel of VA.  6 brothers: Samuel Simpson, Jr.; Quincey Simpson; Quincy Daniels; Darnell (Stacey) Simpson, Sr.; and Warren (Lavonna) Pughsley all of Lima, OH; and Shawn (LaFawn) Pughsley of OK. A host of other relatives and friends.

Home Going Services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor David Kelley Officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on July 22, 2023, at 1-3 pm. also at the funeral home.
