Angelina Pettigrew

Mrs. Angelina Pettigrew, age 69, passed from this life on Friday, April 15, 2022 at approximately 5:28 a.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center.   

She was born in Vance, Mississippi on June 14, 1952 to  the union of  Mr. Money Que and Mrs. Bessie Lee  (Walton) Thornton, Sr.; both parents preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Thomas “Billy” Pettigrew, Jr., he survives in Lima.

She was a graduate of West Tallahatchie High School in Webb, Mississippi. Angelina retired from the Food Bank in Lima and was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board.

Besides her loving husband Thomas, she is survived by a son; Thomas Anthony Pettigrew and a daughter; Chiffon (LaMont) Williamson. 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grand-children.  3 brothers and 3 sisters: Money (Emma) Thornton Jr., Sylvester (Donna) Thornton Sr., Dorothy Thornton, all of Clarksdale, MS; Zearhne (Eddie) Meeks of Webb, MS.  Elder James (LaKisha) Thornton of Yazoo City, MS and Mary (Pinkey) Clinkscales of San Antonio, TX. 2 Aunts, Mattie Mae Stewart of St Louis, MO and Mandy Thornton of Mark, MS.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Home going services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church  with Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022  at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. also at Church.

Interment -  Woodlawn Cemetery
