Mrs. Earlean Nettles-Turner, age 81, passed from this life on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at approximately 6:48 a.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on August 21, 1937 in Sunflower, Mississippi to the union of Wesley and Maggie (Baskin) Nettles; both parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Nettles retired from Buckeye Rubber. She was a member of New Life Church International. She was a former member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where she was a choir member and worked on the kitchen committee.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory 7 sons; Lindsey Turner (Wenetta) of Cincinnati, OH. Jessie Turner (Leah) of Columbus, OH. David Turner (Glenda), Larry Turner (Sharon) and Stanley Turner all of Lima. Dennis Turner of Winter Garden, FL and Richard Turner (Stacy) of Marietta, GA. 3 daughters; Ann Miles (Larry), Betty Jo Turner and Beverly Mayes (Reginald) all of Lima. 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. A brother; R.D. Nettles of Saginaw, MI. 2 sisters; Lucille Jones and Betty Jean Williams (Johnny) both of Saginaw, MI. A special friend; Bessie Howell. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Ada Jackson, Martha Lee Sims and Eva Mae Bryant. 4 brothers; John Wesley Nettles, Eddie B. Nettles, Eugene Nettles and Howard Nettles.
Home going services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Darnell Williams, officiating and Rev. Larry Turner, eulogizing.
Visitation/Wake will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery
