Mr. Douglas Lavess Wilson, age 64, passed from this life on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at approximately 11:00 a.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
Mr. Wilson was born on September 20, 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama to Edward Lewis and Mable Yvonne (Rogers) Wilson; both parents are deceased.
Mr. Wilson worked at Buckeye Rubber and he also did some carpentry and roofing.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory 3 sons; Douglas L. West, Aundra’ L. Wilson, Sr. and Quintel T. Wilson, Sr. all of Lima. 2 daughters; Tania F. Wilson and Tanea Wilson both of Lima. 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. 2 brothers; Edward L. Rogers (Shelly) and Carnell A. Wilson of Lima. 3 sisters; Winifred A. Houston, Woodleana Wilson and Ellen E. Coleman all of Lima. 2 special brothers; Carlos G. Rogers of Lima and Isaac Rogers, Jr. of St. Louis, MO. A first cousin; Marie Brown. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister; Brenda A. Edwards and a daughter Tarika Wilson.
Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Austin Lewis, Jr., officiating.
Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. until of services at 12:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.
