Mr. Phillip Lloyd Oglesbee, age 76, passed from this life on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at approximately 8:28 p.m. at his residence in Lima.

He was born on January 10, 1940 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Milton and Thelma (Richie) Oglesbee; both parents preceded him in death.

On December 5, 1962 he was united in holy matrimony to Shirley M. Love; she survives in Lima.

Mr. Oglesbee retired from Goodyear in Marysville, Ohio.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the AFL-CIO.  He loved to fish and work on all types of engines.  He rode motorcycles, enjoyed all sports and enjoyed anything outdoors.

Besides his loving wife Shirley, he leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons; Phillip L. Oglesbee (Stacy) of Columbus, Ohio and Chad Lyon of New Mexico.  3 daughters; Phyllis Knight (Rodney) and Dawn Corbin (David) both of Lima.  Deborah Arnett (Marvin) of Marion, OH. 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  3 brothers; Milton Oglesbee (Pat) of Belleview, FL.  James Oglesbee (Virginia) of Lima.  Robert Oglesbee of New Mexico.  2 sisters; Janice Richie and Paula Rowe both of Lima.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Ronald Oglesbee and John William Oglesbee.  A sister; Charmaine Downton.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. John E. Kidd, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of services, also at the Funeral Home. 

Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery
