Mr. Nathanael Eugene “Nate” Roddy, age 36, passed from this life on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:58  a.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on August 23, 1981 in Flint, Michigan to Eugene Franklin and Debra Jean (Jordan) Roddy.  His father is deceased and his mother Debra J. Smith and stepfather Myles Smith, Jr. survive in Lima.

He was united in holy matrimony on January 27, 2002 to Tameka Renee Jones, she survives in Lima, Ohio.

Mr. Roddy worked as a Cashier at Pilot Flying J Truck Stop in Beaverdam, Ohio.  He received a Certificate of Completion September 2017 in TYRO Leadership Classes.  He was a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized on August 3, 2013 by Rev. C. M. Manley.  He loved Rap Music.

Besides his loving wife Tameka he leaves to cherish his precious memory a son; Nathanael Roddy, Jr. of Lima.  3 daughters; Lillian Roddy, Ashayla Cloud and Giylynn Grisby all of Lima.  A stepbrother; Darnell Smith of Lima.  A sister; Yanoica Simpson of Dublin, OH.  3 stepsisters; Fonda Smith and Debbie Johnson both of Atlanta, GA, and Pamela Smith of Cincinnati, OH.  His father and mother In-law; Oscar & Lillian Jones of Lima.  Sisters-in-law; Deidra Jones and Theresa William. Brothers-in-law; Oscar William and Aundre William. Nephews; Jordan, Terrell, DeArious Carter, Devonaire Johnson, Dazmond Johnsonand Aundre William, Jr.  Nieces;Terriyah, Jeannetta Carter and DonAstey Walton.    A host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at  12:00 p.m. at Second  Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward, officiating.

Visitation/wake services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.  from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Services entrusted to: JONES-CLARK FUNERAL HOME, INC.
