Doris “Dottie” Faye Monford Patton, was born on September 9, 1941, in Rome, Georgia. She went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2017.

Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother who always put family first. Doris retired as a bookkeeper from Huntington Bank and was also employed by Lima City Schools as a Kindergarten para-professional. Doris was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Ollice and Nettie Favors Monford.

She is survived by her husband, James of 57 years.   Survivors also include four daughters, Natasha (Elder Tommy J.) Brown of Dublin, OH, Kendra Thomas of Dayton, OH, Tanya Patton of Lima, OH and Monica (Rev. Robert R.) Hitchens of Chillicothe, OH; eight grandchildren, James “Martice” Patton, Thomas Brown, J. Mariah (Perry) Beidleman, Ashley Thomas, Courtland Thomas, Brooke Thomas, Lauren Hitchens and Robert “Trey” Hitchens, lll; five great-grandsons, James “Jay” Patton, Jeremiah Brown, Jaylon Patton, Perry Beidleman,  III, and Kayden Beidleman; two brothers, Bobby (Mary) Monford of Lima, OH,  and    Anthony “Tony” Monford of Stone Mountain, GA;  five sisters,  Glenda Henderson of Detroit, MI., Patricia Williams of San Antonio, TX, Paulette Monford of Lima, OH,  Cynthia Monford of Lima, OH, Johnnie  “Elaine” Monford of Reynoldsburg, OH and; two sisters-in-law, Ella Bryant and Jeanette Patton; a special friend,       Andrea Kimple and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
