Mrs. Bernice “Lois” Bullock, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2016 at approximately 5:28 p.m. at her residence in Lima, Ohio.

She was born on September 7, 1942 in Florence, Mississippi to the union of Marion and Clara Bridges; both parents preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Samuel M. Bullock, Sr., who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bullock retired from the Oakwood Forensic Center.  She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren; she was a loving mother who enjoyed everyone.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son; Michael O. Bullock (Sandra) of Lima.  2 daughters; Velma Hardy (Curtis Smith) and Sheila D. Walker (Rogers) both of Lima. 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.   3 brothers; Jake Bridges (Dollie) of Florence, Miss.  John E. Bridges and Herman L. Bridges both of Lima.  7 sisters; Celestine Thames and Deborah D. Bridges both of Florence, Miss.  Louis Hurley (Henry), Lillie M. Haithcock (Lance), Lillie R. Thomas (Charles) and Brenda Clayton all of Lima.  Frances J. Boyd (Willie J.) of Byram, Miss.

She was preceded in death by a son; Samuel M. Bullock, Jr.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Austin Lewis, Jr., officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.
